Biography
Professor Dumais is interested in cold regions geotechnics and permafrost engineering. He specializes in mining geotechnics in northern environments. His research projects focus on transportation infrastructure, tailings management and permafrost impoundment infrastructure. His commitment and impact as an early-career researcher have been recognized by numerous awards and Editor's Choice mentions for three of his publications in high-calibre peer-reviewed journals. In short, Prof. Dumais actively contributes to the advancement of geotechnics in northern environments, seeking to reconcile mining development with respect for the environment and northern communities.
